wedges or flats?

I took a personal day today in order to get a few things checked off my to-do list and de-stress a little, and I am SO glad I did. Just being able to sleep in a bit and enjoy my morning coffee did wonders for my stress levels. And now I’ll be refreshed and ready for the remainder of the week!

Because I had the day off, I was able to wear a more casual outfit today. The weather has been in the 70s and 80s lately (I know, it’s ridiculous for almost November!), so I wore one of my favorite sundresses. I struggled a bit with what shoes to wear, however. Technically, it’s warm enough to wear wedges…

…but it just bothered me to be wearing sandals this far into the fall season. So I explored other options. I noticed that my “modern red” flats happened to match the dress perfectly:

Not a bad match, right? I decided to go with the flats because they seemed more appropriate for fall and were much more comfortable.

I also added the denim jacket to amp up the fall-ish-ness.

Overall, it was a great outfit for the kind of day I had!

Would you wear the wedges or the flats?

  1. Aww, you look so cute, Caroline! I love the colors in that dress, and I think the flats were a perfect addition – very appropriate for both the weather AND the season 🙂
