graduation day!

I did it! The internship is over! Graduation took place this morning, and I’m pretty pleased to say that I am now RD-eligible (I still have to pass an exam before I can call myself a registered dietitian). I’d like to say I’m no longer a student, but I’ll still be working on my PhD for a couple more years.

Anyway, I thought I’d share my graduation ensemble with you all since I rarely post outfits with dresses! Rather than buy a new one, I wore a dress I already had in my closet that was purchased for my honeymoon a few years ago. I searched and searched for some summery white pumps to go with it, but in the end I had to settle for my go-with-everything nude pumps.

As for the colors of the dress, I thought they were appropriate considering my alma mater’s colors are blue and white, and the institution where I completed my internship has green as its school color.

The last time I wore this twisted pearl necklace, I was a little annoyed because I felt like it was too short. In preparation for today’s outfit, I did a little research and discovered that you can buy necklace extenders. Aha! I bought several at my local Wal-Mart for just a few dollars so I was able to adjust the length of this necklace.

Now I am off to relax with my husband. Happy weekend to you all!

  1. Well, first of all – congratulations!! This dress is so pretty, and I am going to have to look into the necklace extender trick. I have a few that would be much better with a few extra inches!
