the chambray dot skirt

Although I don’t think I’ve ever featured it in an outfit here, I have a chambray dot skirt that I wear A LOT–as in, pretty much every weekend. The sad part is that I don’t even style it in interesting ways; I almost always wear it with a solid-colored tee and some sort of sandal. My husband Seth has even noticed the pattern, and remarked last Saturday, “Well, I guess you like that outfit, huh?”

So here I present you an outfit featuring this well-loved skirt. This time, however, I did actually put a little effort into styling it in a new way: with coral and gold.

This skirt originally had a drawstring at the waist, but I decided that it didn’t really add much to the look of the skirt. I gave the string a tug, and it came right out! I think that little tweak streamlined the skirt a bit and allowed me to add a belt.

coral cardigan {J.Crew via Poshmark}, $6

white tee {JCPenney}, old similar

chambray dot skirt {Merona via Target}, $15 similar

gold sandals {Shoe Carnival}, $22 similar

gold belt {Merona via Target}, $12 similar

What are you weekend favorites?

  1. I used to have the regular chambray version of this skirt and I LOVED IT. I wore it all the time until my puppy ripped it 😦 I so wish I could find another one, though, because it was my absolute favorite skirt!! I like the pink cardigan with it!

    • Ah man, darn puppies get the best stuff, don’t they? When my dog Margot was a puppy she chewed up all my favorite pairs of shoes. It was pretty tragic. Anyway, when I was looking for similar links to include in this post, there were a bunch of chambray skirt options, so hopefully you’ll find something.
