olive + snakeskin

My animal print infatuation continues today–this time, it’s snakeskin. Much like my cobalt pants, this top is not something I likely would have worn two years ago. But, my style has evolved such that I now appreciate a top with a neutral color scheme and a subtle pattern–the styling possibilities for this blouse are nearly infinite! I opted for a pretty fallish color scheme today by pairing it with my olive pants and cognac wedges.

Maybe I’m being overly obsessive (not an unusual occurrence), but I had the hardest time deciding what color camisole to wear with this top. It’s a very sheer fabric, so a layer underneath was absolutely necessary, but I was torn between wearing a white one or a nude/flesh-colored one. Ultimately, I went with the white, but I actually bought a dark brown one today to see how that might look.

olive pants {Faded Glory via Wal-Mart}, $11 similar

cognac wedges {Jessica Simpson via 6pm}, $25

gold boyfriend watch {Charlotte Russe}, hand-me-down similar

Would you ever wear a snakeskin top?

  1. I actually have a snakeskin print dress that I love. It hasn’t made its way to my blog yet, but I know that when it does, it’s going to be great, haha. I really love how this top looks with the olive pants, Caroline!
