chambray, coral, + leopard

After much debate, I’ve finally come to the conclusion that a chambray shirt can indeed be work-appropriate (doesn’t everyone ruminate over such dilemmas?). Although I’ve owned my chambray button-up for over a year now, it wasn’t until today that I finally mustered up the courage to try to style it in a “professional” way.

Judging by the all the wrinkles, it’s pretty apparent I haven’t rifled through my drawer of scarves in quite some time. Oops. Are you supposed to iron scarves?

chambray button-up {Merona via Target}, $16 similar

black ankle pants {Wal-Mart}, $15 similar

leopard wedges {CL by Laundry via DSW}, gift

coral scarf {World Market}, gift similar

How would you wear a chambray shirt to work?

  1. Ooh, girl, I love me a chambray shirt with black pants 🙂 I have a coral scarf and leopard shoes myself…perhaps I’ll need to shamelessly copy you and wear a similar outfit!! 🙂

  2. i struggled with whether or not to wear a chambray or denim shirt during the week, too, but it helps balancing it out with something more professional on the bottom half like a skirt or heels i think. and YES, why must we iron scarves!? i have mine all rolled up in a drawer but apparently that is not going to work because it makes most of them so wrinkly. i can’t think of any other storage solution for them though that won’t take up a ton of space. dilemma indeed!
