20 questions

The lovely Heidi of Literate & Stylish recently tagged me to answer a set of 20 questions that have been circulating in blogland of late. It took me a few days due to those pesky things known as tests, but I have those safely behind me now so that I can enjoy blog fun again. I answered my questions in video form (as others before me have done). I’m pretty awkward on camera, so be forewarned.

  1. How tall are you?
  2. Do you have a hidden talent?  If so, what?
  3. What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
  4. What’s your biggest non-blog-related pet peeve?*
  5. What’s your favorite song?
  6. What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?
  7. What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
  8. What’s your favorite junk food?
  9. Do you have a pet or pets?  If so, what kind and what are their names?
  10. What are your number one favorite nonfiction and fiction books?
  11. What’s your favorite beauty product?
  12. When were you last embarrassed?  What happened?
  13. If you could only drink on beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
  14. What’s your favorite movie?
  15. What were you in high school: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
  16. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
  17. PC or Mac?
  18. Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?
  19. Favorite celebrity?
  20. What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?

*After filming this, I realized that I made a few grammatical errors (after saying poor grammar is one of my pet peeves). Let’s pretend I said “preventing childhood obesity and supporting animal shelters” and “Ray-Ray and I go way back.” OK? OK.

Now it’s your turn–tell me something about you!

  1. Your voice is so different than I had imagined! (I feel like I say this to everyone, but it’s true!) I loved the way you hugged your dog– I do the same thing with mine. How can you not? Dogs are the best. Also, bonus points for loving a movie that makes you think! I had to watch Inception a few times just to get it because the concept of a dream within a dream within a dream was mind boggling to me.

    • Dogs really are the best–I’m not embarrassed to admit that I treat mine like children! I’ve never seen Inception, but I’ve heard of its mindbending premise. Definitely worth checking out on our next movie night!

  2. I really liked watching your video. I don’t think I knew you were an English major in your undergrad, yes, multiple books a week was crazy! Our senior semi or was Falkner, who I hated at first and loved in the end. I’m not up on celebrity culture either but I like Rachel Ray too.

  3. caroline, i felt like i learned so much about you from this video! i love your southern accent, i never would have known you were a singer (or maybe you have mentioned that before and i forgot, i feel like i’ve been following your blog forever!), i hope you don’t hate me for typing in all lowercase letters (eek). i am also a huge fizzy water fan, that is all my sister and i bring in our lunches to work and we have been known to stock up on it during our visits home to georgia at kroger where their store brand is like, a ridiculously cheap $2.50 for a 12 pack or something. right now we’re out and i dislike spending more than $3 or $3.50 if we’re desperate on a 12 pack so i’ve been going through withdrawal. 😦 i also so admire that you were able to keep this video around 10 minutes, that was so impressive! thank you so much for taking the time to do this video and share it with us, i’m so glad you did!

    • Ah man, I wish we had a Kroger for store-brand fizzy water! La Croix is like $4 regularly at Publix, so I’ll stock up when it goes BOGO. Thanks for inviting me to participate and for watching the video!
