dark green + black

As you all are probably aware by now, I get on “color kicks”–you know, phases in which I’m infatuated with a specific color or color combination. These days, I can’t get enough of dark green, particularly in combination with black + white. The trouble was, I didn’t own much in the way of dark green, other than this cardigan. So when I saw a dark green button-up at NY + Company, I didn’t hesitate to buy it (OK, so it didn’t hurt that it was also way on sale).

I’m kind of in love with these Mercer shirts from NY + Company. They come in a zillion colors, they’re comfortable, but they still look professional.

  1. I’ve actually been finding myself staring at Old Navy’s homepage because of the girl in the emerald coat and black pants. I can’t get enough of those colors together and am bummed that I don’t have anything in that shade of green.

    • Yes, I know exactly what you’re talking about! When I was looking for a shirt this color, I actually checked there first. It seems like most stores this fall have either teal or olive, but no hunter green.

  2. Oooh! I used to be a total green lover and bought everything green that I possibly could! I feel like I burned myself out on green for a little while, but I looove the color of that top!!! And I like that you kept the rest of the outfit simple to let that shirt shine šŸ™‚
