rrrrroyal blue

The theme for day three of the Pantone Color Challenge is/was (I’m a little late) royal blue. That color always makes me think of the scene in Liar, Liar in which Jim Carrey is trying to pronounce a blue pen as red but instead can only manage “rrrrrrrrroyal blue.”

I’m a little late in posting this–you can blame the ever-diminishing daylight. By the time I got home from work yesterday, it was dark as night (at 5:15!). Blah. So I woke up early this morning to take outfit photos for both yesterday and today. It takes a special kind of crazy to be a style blogger, kids.

black + white geometric dress {Merona via Poshmark*}, $10 (store credit) similar

blue blazer {H+M via Poshmark*}, $25 (store credit) similar

black booties {Forever 21}, $27

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done for the sake of your blog?

Linking up with Heidi and Marissa for the Pantone Color Challenge and Danielle + Andi for Blazer Week!

  1. bahaha, it does take a special kind of crazy! These early sunsets are killing me! But I love this blazer and the dress, so I’m glad you managed to get pictures. I’ve been on the lookout for a blue blazer. The one you linked to is cute, but probably more than I should spend!

  2. I love that movie and I know the scene you’re talking about, but I completely forgot about the rrrroyal blue. Too funny. Ah I miss 90s movies. How do you like those booties? I almost ordered them but were afraid they were way too tall.

    • I miss 90s movies too, particularly Jim Carrey ones!
I like the booties so far–they’re pretty comfortable since the heel is so thick. They don’t go on and off very easily due to the straps, but overall I would recommend them.

  3. Hahahaha, I totally forgot about the “rrrroyal blue” scene! That was the first PG-13 movie I ever saw in the theater, when I was like 9 or 10. I remember being SO embarrassed about the couple of sex-related jokes because I saw it with my parents, haha!
