workhorse

DSC_7959So are you tired of seeing this blazer yet? Well, too bad . I’m going to keep wearing it for the forseeable future.

DSC_7950I’ve actually owned this comfy knit blazer for over a year now, but it’s only been in the past few months that I started wearing it regularly. As it turns out, a black blazer is pretty versatile and has turned into quite the wardrobe workhorse. I guess there’s a reason all those “essentials for every woman’s wardrobe” lists always include a black blazer.

DSC_7967Anyway, this time around I decided to pair it with some sequins, stripes, and a little pop of red.

DSC_7970The red pumps were actually in honor of the Wear Red initiative. The idea was for everyone to wear something red on February 6th in an effort to raise awareness about women’s heart health. Because nutrition (my field of study and lifelong passion) is so essential for preventing heart disease, I was glad to participate!
