full disclosure

DSC_8277In case I haven’t made it clear already, the outfits I post here on the blog are actually what I wear every day (for better or for worse!). I like to play dress up as much as anyone, but I think the real challenge of getting dressed is balancing personal style with practicality. I mention all this only because I feel like should “confess” something about today’s outfit. After standing out in the cold taking these photos, I decided that it was too chilly for bare legs today–so I ran inside and put on a pair of leggings. So there you have it: full disclosure.

DSC_8295In other news, I am totally in love with the combination of chambray + coral. I pinned this “9 Pieces 9 Ways” collage a few weeks ago, and I really liked the polka dot chambray + coral pants  outfit…but I don’t have coral pants (bummer). So I turned to my chambray shirtdress and coral scarf instead.

DSC_8317My love for this combination runs deep apparently–I just perused the archives and found similar looks here and here. At least I’m consistent!

  1. You know, I really appreciate your honesty and am happy you have told us that you put on leggings. I know you live in the south, so I could imagine some days not needing leggings or tights. But there are other bloggers who I know live in the north and they have no leggings or tights but there’s snow in the background! C’mon! Let’s be real here! Are you just posing, or are you crazy?!
