wild thing

DSC_8534A few weeks back, I mentioned how I was a bit hesitant to wear leopard print to work. Well, I’ve gone rogue–I wore leopard print and purple pants today. I know, I’m such a wild thing.

DSC_8525I kept things academia-friendly by keeping the rest of the outfit pretty neutral. Just an ivory tee, cognac booties, and my favorite watch.

DSC_8554Truth be told, I wish I had worn a few more layers–it was pretty unpleasant to be outside in the cold in just a tee shirt! #ihatewinter

  1. I love this outfit! Purple pants have been my favorite lately (although in my pictures they always look black!). I’ll have to try a similar outfit with a white sweater instead of a tee and my leopard scarf. Maybe against white my pants will actually look purple!

    • Yes! I have had the exact same problem–all the previous times I’ve worn these pants, they look black in the pictures. I’ll stay tuned to see your version of this look with your sweater.

  2. Well, I think you nailed the classy way to style leopard print! A scarf is a great place to start, and then you can work your way up to more leopard if you want. I think finding the right print is the best way for me to feel like I look nice and not Jersey Shore!
