I know that some (now outdated) rule dictates that “white shalt not be worn after Labor Day,” but I’m a little fuzzy when it’s acceptable to start wearing white. My mom says Easter is the appropriate start date, but I’m ignoring that for now. Mostly because it’s lovely outside, and I don’t care much about fashion “rules” anyway…but also because I’ve waited long enough to re-create this pin.
As I’ve mentioned before, I have a very complicated relationship with my white jeans. I love the idea of them, but I’m not sure we’re destined to be BFF. They’re certainly not the most flattering pair of pants I own, and denim is really not appropriate for summertime in Alabama (way too hot!). But alas, I keep them around anyway.
The rest of the outfit, however, consisted of several of my favorite clothing items: this adorable polka dot chambray shirt (scored from ThredUp*), crystal statement necklace, and my ever-present cognac wedges.
