welcome, baby girl!

DSC_9605Today’s outfit was 100% inspired by a very exciting event–my sister had her baby! As I mentioned back in October, it’s a baby girl, so I thought a bow-printed blouse and pink heels were appropriate for the occasion.

DSC_9596Although this is the third grandchild within my family, this was my first time actually being in town for the delivery. (The previous two took place while I still lived in North Carolina).Β I have to say, it’s pretty awesomely exciting to hold a child who is less than an hour old. Life is a miracle, indeed!

DSC_9558My other sister is due to have a baby boy in May. I guess I’ll have to find some blue in my closet when the time comes!

  1. Aww congrats to your sister! You’ll get to dress her the most adorable little dresses and headbands! I think bows and pink shoes were a great choice for the visit πŸ™‚

    • Yes, girls are so fun to dress! I have a 3-year-old niece, and she has reached the stage when she insists on dressing herself (in princess dresses). So a newborn is fun to play dress up with for a little while πŸ™‚

  2. Congratulations to your sister on her new baby! I’m SO excited to join the auntie club this summer – Kevin and I are holding off on a family vacation that was originally scheduled over my sister-in-law’s due date to make sure we’ll be in town for her birth! I love how you honored your new niece with a girly outfit! πŸ™‚
