professional for st. paddy’s

DSC_9976As much as I would have liked to wear a fun and festive green outfit for St. Patrick’s Day (I am an Irish girl, after all), it wasn’t really an option this year. I had to do a recorded interview as part of a class assignment, which meant I had to keep things pretty subdued.

DSC_9969Not only did the outfit need to be professional, but our professor also informed us not to wear any busy patterns so as not to distract from our faces on the video recordings. Once polka dots and gingham are out of the picture, my green options were pretty limited.

DSC_9984So that’s why my St. Paddy’s outfit is a little boring. Speaking of boring, I wore this exact cardigan and belt last year in honor of the holiday. Ha!

DSC_9946green cardigan: thrifted Talbots, similar, similar // black tee: Old Navy, similar, similar // black + white striped pencil skirt: Loft via Poshmark*, similar, similar // black leather pumps: BCBGeneration via Amazon, similar, similar // leopard belt: Merona via Target, similar, similar // gold watch: Fossil via Belk, exact, similar

  1. oh, i think this is the perfect clothing item to wear for st patrick’s day – it’s such a wonderful shade of green, and you brought out some interest in your striped skirt and leopard belt!

  2. Oh my gosh, Caroline! I really love this outfit a ton, actually! It’s a great nod to the holiday, while still being completely appropriate for work 🙂 I really like the mix of stripes and leopard here, too. You are so dang cute!

(Also, I’m trying hard to get caught up on blogs, and so I’m going to preapologize for the amount of comments heading your way this afternoon…)
