presenting in pink

DSC_0922I mentioned in a previous post that I had two presentations coming up. I wore today’s outfit for the second of those…after much deliberation. I really wanted to wear my new pink dress (reviewed here), but I feared it wouldn’t be the most professional choice. I decided to wear it anyway, well, because I wanted to.

DSC_0915As it turns out, my professor complimented me on my dress and asked me where I got it. So I’m interpreting that as an indication that it was appropriate for the occasion.

DSC_0932I’m featuring my handbag today, just because it coordinated so nicely with my shoes. This is actually my everyday work bag; it gets a lot of use, so don’t look too closely 🙂

  1. i always find compliments from supervisors or those in positions higher than me to be affirming! that was sweet of your professor to tell you she liked your dress! i definitely think you looked professional enough to give a presentation, but i suppose you could have always added a blazer to add a bit more of that vibe (unless it’s already super warm down there in AL!).

    • You guessed it–I think I would have been sweating if I had worn a blazer on top. But that’s a good idea for a future presentation outfit, perhaps when it’s cooled down a bit 🙂
