stripes + dots

DSC_1104When it comes to pattern mixing, I’m not confident enough in myself to come up with combinations on my own. And that’s where Pinterest comes in.

DSC_1095I’ve recently started following Lands’ End on Pinterest for outfit inspiration, as they often come up with looks using basics I already have in my wardrobe. So when I saw this pin, I knew I could re-create it.

DSC_1113I think the neutrals keep it from looking like I got dressed in the dark. At least I hope so.

  1. this is great pattern mixing! thanks for the idea of following lands end, i think i have an advertisement of theirs from a magazine saved where the model was wearing a black and white gingham shirt and a floral scarf with a predominantly black background, and that also really stood out to me as great pattern mixing!
