two years late

DSC_3540So I have an embarrassing confession to make: this blazer has sat in my closet for two years with the tags on, never worn. It has survived many closet purges because I really do like it, but I just couldn’t figure out a way to wear it.

DSC_3535Two years later, and I finally had the brilliant idea to pair it with a black dress. Ground-breaking thinking, I know.

DSC_3557 I think my “style block” came from the fact that this blazer has a subtle texture to it, which could potentially clash with whatever I’m wearing underneath it. That limits it to wearing this blazer with solid color pieces, but I think I can still make several different outfit incorporating it. Here’s hoping it doesn’t take me two years to wear it again!

  1. I have a textured cardigan, and I have the same hesitations/”style blocks”. This jacket looks really cute though, and I think being white (aka a more neutral color) lends itself to more options. It would really pull together an outfit with any color top and jeans – taking it from casual to much more interesting.
