fading fast

DSC_5075I would consider my black jeans a wardrobe staple–I’ve worn them no less than 20 times here on the blog. In fact, I’m actually on my second pair as of last February, and they’re already starting to fade into gray. I love the way Loft’s jeans fit me…not so wild about how quickly their black jeans fade!

DSC_5072I’m contemplating dyeing them to refresh the black color, but the process sounds like it could get messy. Anyone have experience with this? Alternatively, I might just buy another pair and wash them only in Woolite Darks…

  1. If you love them and they’re not actually worn out, dye them for sure! I do this with my tanks and tees every few seasons as well, and black is definitely the most straightforward. Rit dye instructions are pretty easy to follow. I always opt for a bucket or a nice clean pot on the stove rather than the washing machine.

  3. I have dyed faded black pants before, it’s really easy to do in your washing machine. Just be sure to run it empty (or with a few rags in there) afterwards.
