remix it: the burgundy dress

In case you haven’t noticed, burgundy/maroon/wine/oxblood is everywhere these days…including the posts on this blog. I just love how this color family seems to coordinate with almost any other color; some might even consider it a neutral. I thought I’d feature my burgundy maternity dress for today’s re-mix it post. It has been one my favorite maternity wardrobe pieces, and I only spend $2 on it at the thrift store!

burgundy dress options: ModCloth {sleevless + pleated} // Shabby Apple {cap sleeve + bow front} // LuLu’s {maxi length} // Theory {shift} // French Connection {3/4 sleeve} // Eliza J {allover lace}

I happen to like the burgundy + tan combination, but I’m trying to force myself to branch out a bit. Burgundy + gray also play well together, and I have some outfit photos lurking on my computer featuring burgundy + black/white (that should be posted sometime next week). I’ve also contemplated pairing this dress with blush pink or navy blue. So many ideas, and only 5 weeks of pregnancy left! Something tells me that I’ll continue to wear this versatile dress even after we’ve welcomed Baby C to the world πŸ™‚
