Now that I’ve checked off all the items on my January shopping list, I decided to compile a new list for spring.
blush pink top
In case you haven’t noticed, blush is having a moment in the fashion world–it seems to be everywhere! I think it’s a color that pairs nicely with pretty much any neutral, and it doesn’t look terrible on my skin tone. Accordingly, I’m on the hunt for a blush/light pink top that could easily be layered underneath a blazer or cardigan. Ideally, I would like Banana Republic to release a Luxe Touch tee in this color, but no luck so far. J.Crew Factory has this cotton version, but it might be a bit too casual for what I’m looking for right now.
I reviewed two pairs of scallop shorts last spring from Loft, and I’m really regretting that I didn’t keep at least one of those pairs. They’re just so darn cute! I think my hesitation in keeping them last year was related to the fact that I was pregnant–I didn’t want to buy something that may or may not have fit for the duration of the summer months. Fortunately, Loft is selling a very similar black pair this year that I might try. I’ve also had my eye on this chambray pair.
I’m not one to layer on a lot of patterns with my clothing and accessories; I often stick with solid colors and minimal jewelry. That can be a little boring, so I’ve been thinking adding a little pattern with my footwear could be fun. This striped pair by Sole Society is definitely along the lines (ha! get it?) of what I had in mind, although this gingham pair is also pretty stinkin’ cute!
When I was in college, I had a few pairs of designer flare jeans that I wore to death. Then the skinny jean craze happened, and I never replaced my beloved flares. Now it seems it’s OK to wear flared jeans again, and I’m pretty psyched about that, as they’re probably more flattering on my shape. So I’ve been thinking about buying a dark wash pair like these from Loft or these from Banana Republic.
What are you lusting after these days?
