As I approach the end of this pregnancy (yay!), I’m trying to get some use out of neglected items in my maternity wardrobe. Case in point: my crazy coral pants.
This time around, I decided to try wearing them with gray and just a touch of turquoise. The end result was a pretty comfy outfit that transitioned nicely from boring data entry to the classroom. Woo. I just wish you couldn’t see the outline of the maternity panel on my pants through my tee, haha!
I’ve actually had these maternity coral jeans for quite some time now…but I’m just getting around to wearing them. They’re pretty vibrant and they’re pretty skinny, which translates into two things: 1) I refused to wear them in the summer time (skinny jeans + sweaty legs = a disaster), and 2) I avoided wearing them on a “fat” day. So there’s a recipe for neglecting a clothing item for, oh, four months.
I guess I finally got bored enough with my other maternity clothes that I decided to try wearing these crazy coral pants. As it turns out, they’re not so bad. They made for a comfy outfit when I paired them with a tee and chambray button-up. What other ways should I try wearing these pants?
To be honest, this dress is not my favorite maternity purchase, at least for these warmer weather months. I ordered up a size to account for a bigger belly later on, and I think the end result makes me look, well, matronly. I still have hope that I can make this dress work with the magic of layering later this fall!
Does anyone else obsess about whether her leathers (whether they begenuine or faux) match? No? Well, I just have to confess that it really bothers me that my belt is not a precise match to the leather on my sandals. So much so that I even raided Seth’s closet to see if he had a belt that was a closer match (no luck, sadly). I’m seriously contemplating buying another cognac belt in a slightly lighter shade…
