gold, green, coral

DSC_8479Today’s outfit features one of my very favorite color combinations: gold, (olive) green, and coral.

DSC_8471I’m pretty sure I originally got the idea from this pin, from way, way back. Thanks, Audrey!

DSC_8484Now I’m trying to think of more ways to wear this color palette throughout the spring…any ideas?

gray + coral

As I approach the end of this pregnancy (yay!), I’m trying to get some use out of neglected items in my maternity wardrobe. Case in point: my crazy coral pants.

DSC_5769This time around, I decided to try wearing them with gray and just a touch of turquoise. The end result was a pretty comfy outfit that transitioned nicely from boring data entry to the classroom. Woo. I just wish you couldn’t see the outline of the maternity panel on my pants through my tee, haha!

crazy coral pants

DSC_5105I’ve actually had these maternity coral jeans for quite some time now…but I’m just getting around to wearing them. They’re pretty vibrant and they’re pretty skinny, which translates into two things: 1) I refused to wear them in the summer time (skinny jeans + sweaty legs = a disaster), and 2) I avoided wearing them on a “fat” day. So there’s a recipe for neglecting a clothing item for, oh, four months.

DSC_5114I guess I finally got bored enough with my other maternity clothes that I decided to try wearing these crazy coral pants. As it turns out, they’re not so bad. They made for a comfy outfit when I paired them with a tee and chambray button-up. What other ways should I try wearing these pants?

coral + cognac(s)

DSC_3647To be honest, this dress is not my favorite maternity purchase, at least for these warmer weather months. I ordered up a size to account for a bigger belly later on, and I think the end result makes me look, well, matronly. I still have hope that I can make this dress work with the magic of layering later this fall!

DSC_3644Does anyone else obsess about whether her leathers (whether they be genuine or faux) match? No? Well, I just have to confess that it really bothers me that my belt is not a precise match to the leather on my sandals. So much so that I even raided Seth’s closet to see if he had a belt that was a closer match (no luck, sadly). I’m seriously contemplating buying another cognac belt in a slightly lighter shade…
