I guess it’s all the Christmas trees around, but this time of year I want to wear forest green all the time. I dug around on my Pinterest board and found an outfit or two combining camel + green, so I decided to try to make that color palette work.
Aside from the fact that this outfit makes me blend in with my backyard (ha!), I do like this outfit. I have a skirt in a similar color to these pants, so I can see multiple iterations of this look in the coming weeks!
Apparently, I’m on a bit of a black and green kick. I didn’t notice the trend until I put together a collage of my favorite outfits from August on Instagram. There was a time that such repetition would have bothered me, but the older I get, the more comfortable I am with maintaining a consistent color palette. But I will acknowledge that maybe this habit makes things a bit more boring for blog readers.
Although this color infatuation is a relatively new development, I’ve actually had this pin hanging around for a while, and it was the inspiration for this outfit. Love the idea of adding lace into the mix…I’ll remember that for the next (inevitable) iteration of this color combination!
If you happened to have followed along on my Take One, Pass It On challenge in July, then you’ve seen this top styled twice already. For a printed top, I’m surprised at how many different ways I’ve managed to wear it in the span of a month! This time around I paired it with some green Sloan pants that match ever so perfectly.
I really liked this outfit and felt pretty great wearing it…until a series of events happened that turned the day into a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad one. Within the span of a few hours, I got stung by a bee, my “monthly visitor” arrived, and my car battery died. Thank goodness my husband was able to rescue me from that last one at least. I may or may not have drowned my sorrows in a few spoonfuls of peanut butter when I got home.
How do you make yourself feel better after a bad day?
