I’ve always known that I’m quite fair, but seeing pictures of myself on a regular basis here on the blog reinforces the notion. My skin tone pretty much blends in with the ivory top I’m wearing in these pictures. Granted, I was pretty sick at the time, but it just makes me realize that I need to step up my blush game!
Despite the fact that this outfit emphasizes my status as a pasty princess, I still like it. There’s something about the contrast of distressed jeans with the feminine lace + pearls that really strikes my fancy.
In light of my paleness problem, what’s your favorite blush? I’m always looking for new ones to try…
As I mentioned in a recent post, I’ve got lots of plans for these burgundy pants…so you might be seeing them pretty frequently here on the blog.
This time around, I decided to wear them with ivory lace and cognac. In retrospect, this outfit is a little “autumnal” in terms of color scheme, but I’m making up for lost time here–I spent this fall waddling around in my not-as-fun maternity wardrobe!
Earlier in my pregnancy, I had been on a mad hunt to find a perfect dress to wear to my baby shower…but never really found anything I liked. In the end, I decided that it didn’t make much sense to buy a dress I didn’t like all that much to wear to an occasion that’s pretty casual anyway.
So instead I wore a pretty lace top with my skinny jeans and pearl studs and called it a day. It ended up being a great choice–I was comfy and not worrying about spilling gazpacho on a fancy dress!
