ivory all over

DSC_8929I’ve always known that I’m quite fair, but seeing pictures of myself on a regular basis here on the blog reinforces the notion. My skin tone pretty much blends in with the ivory top I’m wearing in these pictures. Granted, I was pretty sick at the time, but it just makes me realize that I need to step up my blush game!

DSC_8924Despite the fact that this outfit emphasizes my status as a pasty princess, I still like it. There’s something about the contrast of distressed jeans with the feminine lace + pearls that really strikes my fancy.

In light of my paleness problem, what’s your favorite blush? I’m always looking for new ones to try…

pindots

DSC_3435As far as maternity pieces go, this dress has to be one of my favorites. After all, it incorporates two of my favorite things–navy blue and pindots. Plus, I think it’s a pretty classic piece that will be easy to style throughout the fall and winter.

DSC_3432So be prepared to see this dress on repeat from now until December 17th.

DSC_3439This time around, I fancied it up a bit with my pearl studs and some neutral accessories.I felt like such a lady while I stocked up on bananas and eggs 😉

DSC_2232Today’s outfit is kind of a Throwback Thursday–this dress is what I wore in my very first outfit post! I’ve contemplated selling or donating this dress several times over the past two years, but I never could bring myself to do it. It’s a fun dress, with plenty of color…and plenty of pattern. The combination of those two things makes it harder to wear, in my opinion. I’m also not sure this dress is really representative of my style anymore.

DSC_2222All that being said, one thing it does have going for it is that it is quite accommodating of a growing baby bump. So for now, it’s staying in my closet! I tried to tone it down a bit for work with a white blazer and nude pumps.

one last layered look

DSC_1391The weather has been consistently warm around here for several weeks now, but this past Wednesday, we woke up to unusually chilly temperatures. I seized the opportunity to get one last wear out of my striped vest, and I knew exactly how I would style it.

DSC_1373I pinned this look several weeks ago, but I figured I would have to wait until next fall or spring to wear it. So I guess unpredictable weather has its advantages.

DSC_1395This bag is a recent purchase. I’ve been hunting for a bag to match my multiple pairs of nude shoes. So when Ann Taylor offered 50% off and free shipping, I decided to invest in this very highly rated tote. It was only after I ordered it that I learned that it wasn’t leather, but I think it’s still very good quality with lots of space.
