I’ve always known that I’m quite fair, but seeing pictures of myself on a regular basis here on the blog reinforces the notion. My skin tone pretty much blends in with the ivory top I’m wearing in these pictures. Granted, I was pretty sick at the time, but it just makes me realize that I need to step up my blush game!
Despite the fact that this outfit emphasizes my status as a pasty princess, I still like it. There’s something about the contrast of distressed jeans with the feminine lace + pearls that really strikes my fancy.
In light of my paleness problem, what’s your favorite blush? I’m always looking for new ones to try…
This time of year is always full of celebrations in our household–my niece’s birthday, Thanksgiving, and, most pertinent to this post, our wedding anniversary. It’s a little shocking that Seth and I have already been married for three years. Time flies when you’re having fun, right?
To celebrate the occasion, we just enjoyed a nice dinner at Seasons 52. It wasn’t exactly a wild and crazy night, considering I couldn’t even partake in some celebratory champagne (#pregnancyprobs), but it was fun to get dressed up for each other and eat delicious food 🙂
I wore my one and only “nice” maternity dress that my mom bought for me back in July to wear to a wedding. Let’s just say that it fits much differently than it did when I tried it on for the first time, haha! Nonetheless, I’m glad I got at least one more wear out of it before the end of my pregnancy.
As far as maternity pieces go, this dress has to be one of my favorites. After all, it incorporates two of my favorite things–navy blue and pindots. Plus, I think it’s a pretty classic piece that will be easy to style throughout the fall and winter.
So be prepared to see this dress on repeat from now until December 17th.
This time around, I fancied it up a bit with my pearl studs and some neutral accessories.I felt like such a lady while I stocked up on bananas and eggs 😉
Today’s outfit is kind of a Throwback Thursday–this dress is what I wore in my very first outfit post! I’ve contemplated selling or donating this dress several times over the past two years, but I never could bring myself to do it. It’s a fun dress, with plenty of color…and plenty of pattern. The combination of those two things makes it harder to wear, in my opinion. I’m also not sure this dress is really representative of my style anymore.
All that being said, one thing it does have going for it is that it is quite accommodating of a growing baby bump. So for now, it’s staying in my closet! I tried to tone it down a bit for work with a white blazer and nude pumps.
