i voted!

In case you didn’t know, Alabama has been in the headlines a lot lately due to a special election for the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions. I won’t get overly political here, but let’s just say that the stakes were high, and I think it would have been pretty disastrous had the Republican candidate won. Accordingly, I did my part and voted! Here’s what I wore for the occasion.

Again, I apologize for the wonky lighting in these photos. The daylight hours are limited, and the time that I’m home is even more limited…which means I have to settle for photos with some kinda crazy shadows!

december uniform

All month long, I’ve been wearing all the plaid and all the vests, usually together. It’s kind of become my December uniform.

Truthfully, this combination wasn’t my absolute favorite, but at least the colors were festive! My apologies for the weird lighting–it’s hard to find a time when the light is right and I can be home!

snow day

It’s quite an exciting day here in Alabama–IT SNOWED! It’s been years since I last saw snow, so of course I was delighted by the winter weather. You can kind of tell in my face in the picture below!

I used the opportunity to cuddle up in my reindeer sweater and Hunter boots. I didn’t really do much all day, but it sure was fun to build snowmen and drink hot coffee.

camel + green

I guess it’s all the Christmas trees around, but this time of year I want to wear forest green all the time. I dug around on my Pinterest board and found an outfit or two combining camel + green, so I decided to try to make that color palette work.

Aside from the fact that this outfit makes me blend in with my backyard (ha!), I do like this outfit. I have a skirt in a similar color to these pants, so I can see multiple iterations of this look in the coming weeks!
